The Maxi-Cosi Pebble car seat (0-13 kg, up to 12 months), the Pearl car seat (9-18 kg, 9 months to 3½ years) and the FamilyFix Isofix Base make up the new Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix Collection.
Its most distinctive feature: only one single FamilyFix Base is needed to fit the two consecutive age car seats Pebble and Pearl in the car. From birth to around 3½ years, you can rely on a trusted, no-hassle travel solution that offers unparalleled safety, extremely lightweight seats and the greatest ease of use through the Isofix system. With the in-car safety taken care of, all you need to do is enjoy an active lifestyle with your children.
The FamilyFix members
The FamilyFix Base is a state-of-the-art Isofix base that is easy to install using a car’s IsoFix anchoring points. A light-and-sound LED display rules out any incorrect fitting so you are ensured absolute safety. The multi-purpose signal notifies you that the base is correctly fitted onto the Isofix anchoring points, the support leg is positioned correctly and finally, that the Pebble or Pearl car seat is securely fixed on the base.
The FamilyFix Base is unique. It offers you an extra recline position for your child when used with the Pearl and a more upright sitting position for your baby when using the Pebble. This is particularly useful for babies that are long as the sitting position will give extra room for their legs as they grow. For cars without Isofix you can use the belt-fitted EasyBase 2 to install the Pebble car seat. The FamilyFix Base is also suitable for the current Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix car seat.
The Maxi-Cosi PEBBLE is smooth with round edges – a unique look that brings car seat design well and truly in to the 21st century. It offers an 'easy-out' harness; the easily adjustable straps stay open which help you lift your baby out with the greatest of ease. The flexible soft rim of the Maxi-Cosi Pebble is a lovely contrast to the hard shell of the seat; this holds the sun canopy inside so it’s within reach at any time and can also be put away quickly. A rounded head-hugger gently protects and cups your baby’s head in a way that you would only trust your hands to. The cover removes within seconds so it can be washed and replaced with ease.
The Maxi-Cosi PEARL continues the ‘new-age’ look and is one of the most compact toddler seats around, also smooth and sleek in design it was developed to suit the increasing number of compact sized cars. The Pearl must be installed in your car with the FamilyFix Base (Isofix) only. The Maxi-Cosi Pearl also offers an ‘easy-out’ harness and simultaneous adjustment of the head-rest and shoulder straps to ensure that the headrest is always in the correct position to protect your child’s head. These can be altered easily from the front of the seat.
Six fabulous colours are available for each car seat that reflects the precious stone qualities of the car seats, from the dark and mysterious Jet Black; the enviable Emerald Green and a stunning, Ruby Red.
